The Library and Resource Center is named after Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan (S.R.R.) who was a
renowned librarian and mathematician. S.R.R is considered to be the father of library science,
documentation, and information science in India and is widely known throughout the rest of the world for
his fundamental thinking in the field. The state-of-the-art Dr. S R Ranganathan Library and Resource
Center is housed in the Administrative and Library block. Along with vast collections of books and
journals, the library provides digital and reprographic facilities with 15 computers with internet
connectivity.
