National Cadet Corps
The National Cadet Corps (NCC), established in 1948, is a premier youth organization that aims to develop character, discipline, leadership, a secular outlook, and the spirit of adventure and selfless service among young citizens. It strives to create a pool of organized, trained, and motivated youth with leadership qualities, ready to serve the Nation in every field of life. NCC also cultivates an environment that inspires young individuals to join the Armed Forces.
Guided by its motto ‘Unity and Discipline’, the Senior Division Army NCC Unit at Government Polytechnic College Perumbavoor was established in 2021, functioning under the 21 (K) Battalion, Ernakulam. The unit comprises an enthusiastic platoon of cadets who actively engage in various activities that promote community service, discipline, and national integration.
